We're renovating!
Renovation work in the historical Saarisen piha (Saarinen's court) is going to make the buildings look even more fabulous. Most of the shops and restaurants in the courtyard are open during the renovation.
Do you know where Saarisen piha (Saarinen's court) is located? It is the courtyard which you pass through Citycenter street level while walking towards Stockmann or Kaivopiha. The plastering of the facade of the Saarisen talo -building, designed by Eliel Saarinen in 1910, needs to be refurbished and that is why we have rolled up our sleeves to carry out renovation work.
Pedestrian routes in the area will remain open during the renovation. The entire renovation is estimated to be concluded in September 2021.
